Peab to construct Storsjoskolan at Holmsund

Swedish company Peab has received a contract from Umeå municipality, to build the new Storsjöskolan at Holmsund in Sweden.

The contract value is SEK116 million ($16 million). The project involves both new construction and renovation of the existing Storsjöskolan, which now will also have a new hockey ring and play area. The project starts in April 2010 and is scheduled for completion in November 2011.

Peab AB is a personal construction and civil engineering company. It is operational through three business areas. Construction business area provides housing, public and commercial premises and buildings. Civil engineering business area conducts assignments in Sweden which includes the construction of infrastructure projects and civil engineering projects, the management and maintenance of roads, as well as municipal works for the National Road and Rail Administration, municipalities and local businesses.
